All of Us Research

Disability Empowerment Center is proud to be part of the All of Us Research Program, part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

NIH is building one of the largest and most diverse health databases of its kind in order to advance medical research.

Researchers use this data to learn more about why people get sick or stay healthy. They’ll be able to use it to find better ways to prevent and treat illnesses and take care of all of us.

The All of Us Research Program has asked us to help reach people with disabilities and invite them to join the program. The more folks with disabilities in the research program, the more effective research can be into our individual and collective health and well-being.

Medical research hasn't always seen you. we're changing that. What is the All of Us Research program? It is seeking one million or more people from across the U.S. By doing so, it hopes to one day help speed up medical research.

It is seeking one million or more people from across the U.S. By doing so, it hopes to one day help speed up medical research. People who join will share information about their health, habits and what it’s like where they live. By looking for patterns, researchers may learn more about what affects people’s health.
